American Airlines Group Inc., formerly AMR Corporation, operates in the airline industry. The Company's principal subsidiary is American Airlines, Inc. (American). AMR Eagle Holding Corporation (AMR Eagle), a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company, owns two regional airlines, which do business as American Eagle-American Eagle Airlines, Inc. and Executive Airlines, Inc. (collectively, the American Eagle carriers). American also contracts with an independently owned regional airline, which does business as AmericanConnection (the AmericanConnection carrier). (AAG) a Delaware corporation, is a holding company and its principal, wholly-owned subsidiaries are American, a Delaware corporation, and, as of December 9, 2013, US Airways Group, a Delaware corporation. AAG was formed in 1982 under the name AMR Corporation (AMR) as the parent company of American which was founded in 1934. US Airways Group was formed in 1982 and its origins trace back to the formation of All American Aviation in 1939. AMR changed its name to American Airlines Group Inc. on December 9, 2013.
