The shoot of Ajith Kumar’s next film afer Veeram has begun in right earnest. Directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon, the film reportedly stars Ajith in dual roles, one of them being that of a tough cop, to prepare for which Ajith pumped hard at the gym for weeks together. Reports say that the film has been titled as Aayiram Thottakkal for now and that there might be a change in the title at a latter stage.

The film’s shoot commenced last Wednesday with a formal muhurat at the Saibaba Temple in Valasaravakkam owned by the film’s producer A.M. Rathnam. The film’s shoot is now going on at ECR Road on the outskirts of Chennai. “Shot for a couple of days with Ajith for our first film together; was floored by superstar Ajith who treats the Unit members as his family,” Menon has tweeted. Macarthur, the film’s cinematographer, has said that the crew has been toiling hard to make Ajith’s fans and movie-goers happy. “Action sequences in the film would be shot from Tamil New Year day onwards,” Dan has said. The title would either be confirmed or a new title would be announced on 01st May on the eve of Ajith’s birthday. Anushka has been paired up opposite Ajith for the first time in Aayiram Thottakkal.Ajith’s upcoming movie as a police role will play in Gautham’s direction. The shooting started since two days before.

Gautham tweeted, “Two days shooting has been completed. It’s a pleasant experience. The whole unit will treat like a family to work with with the Superstar about Ajith”.
